This is the problem for a lot of early access games that come out on steam, they'll stop developement for months on end for a game and then when people go apeshit they release some stupid patch and never live up to the hype or idea of how the game was going to be upon completion. Even worse that you can't get a refund for a game that has had no active development for months or years even while still being in early access.LadyV wrote:There is but most who scam like that end up releasing something even if utterly horrible so they can say we tried. The problem with such laws is they never judge intent in most cases. They judge did they attempt to provide the service the promised. So in most cases just releasing something gets them out of legal prosecution. Law is still trying to catch up to the digital age.loftar wrote:I would be quite surprised if it weren't possible to sue a fraudulent project for "bad faith" or whatever the US legal term is, if you can make the case that they never even intended to fulfill their end of the bargain.TeckXKnight wrote:I really wish there was some form of accountability with crowdsourcing though.

This happens a lot but that is a large amount of money on this one... But I like the idea if Laundering Money. Only thing is that would be a whole lot of work for just a couple of people to do to get up to 77mil. But shoot if it was my money I would do it all alone no probs.....

Arena commander is pretty good for Star Citizen, I'm pretty content on the $100ish I spent. Rust is getting better in the newer version, legacy is kinda boring in terms of content.

Based on what I heard, the devs give less a fuck about hackers and bugs, and more on making trees look more "realistic."CTheRain wrote:Rust is getting better in the newer version,
And because of what I've heard, I'm not touching that shit.

They've outsourced the cheating to another company to monitor and catch exploits and neat shit like that. And if you find a bug they said they'd pay you to reveal it... Not sure if that's true or not though. They've only been tracking soft crashes and major bugs but Thursday they said they're now watching hard crashes and minor bugs now.RustyBuckitt wrote:Based on what I heard, the devs give less a fuck about hackers and bugs, and more on making trees look more "realistic."CTheRain wrote:Rust is getting better in the newer version,

But I gotta say the environments look great and the building is good too. Too bad I've only put about 7 hours into legacy and only 1-2 into the newer version. I'm waiting for more content, kinda like H&H. Regarding Rust though I'd just put the development blog on a tab and check in every Thursday to see what's new. I'll start playing when they add power lines, generators, and farming.
