Also, it was 1-time purchase of around 10 USD I guess, which is a good price.

Tehre is a game on steam - Tree of Life - also a MMO sandbox. Devs there code pretty crappy, translate to english with google translate and the game is beta still with dozens of stuff not working, but I am happy I bought it cause this Korean guys really care about their community, answer and react to it properly.

here in my country we hear stories about how sweden is the best country and the government is great and pretty much gives you money for free even if you don't work? don't the trashmen there make the same amount of money as most of the other people with "better" jobs? couldn't jorbtar maybe get some government money to support the development of the game, lol? i mean, it IS a social experiment, after all. there's a scientific purpose to it.

Sweden is a great country, but the stories you hear are so warped by your (your people) wishes.

The Swedish government is a corrupt racket run by clowns and thieves, and yes, they do engage in a fair bit of wealth redistribution to buy votes for themselves and their class interests.
So pretty much same as everywhere else.
So pretty much same as everywhere else.

I think the suicide rates are high because people who think that everything is free in Sweden flock to Sweden, and real Swedes therefore see their country ruined by many happiness-seekers. And then they end it all.

The whole concept of "free money" suggests that money is a central part of your life; to understand Sweden you are already there on the wrong track. A major aspect of the socialliberal ideology in Sweden is to eliminate the "unfairness" caused by chance: a child does not choose their parents and that's why Sweden attempts to a large extent make an even playing field by giving children free healthcare, free school and later on to a larget extent free college education.
Another central concept is that even those who belong to the lowest classes in society should not be constrained so much by money that they are "miserable". That's why there is significant economical aid to the lowest classes in society. Another way to look at it is: to increase the freedom of the individual you could remove several of their economical chains.
The maximization of the possibilities for an individual also explains why Sweden chooses to give aid to cultural institutions so that the price to see their work is reduced significantly: cultural work such as conserts within classical music, theater, museums, etc.

No, you can't. But you can blame them for doing it over the backs of others, which is what happens more often than not.chrisrock wrote:Óðinn wrote:I think the suicide rates are high because people who think that everything is free in Sweden flock to Sweden, and real Swedes therefore see their country ruined by many happiness-seekers. [Hint; it's because more often than not the good immigrants integrate perfectly and the bad immigrants do not integrate, and only take money]

i get exactly what you mean, i'm agaisn't illegal immigrats too and my country is kind of going through something like that, with a lot of immigrants from an even poorer country coming to mine to try and get a job and money... now if you're a legal immigrant, you probably worked hard to get there and earned it. i guess. i'm not super smart or anything, hehe. i didn't mean to start a discussion on this matter, i was just curious because of the things i've heard from first world countries, but didn't know any better.Óðinn wrote:No, you can't. It's complicated. I invite you to take a look at what is happening in Calais at this very moment and you will understand why many Europeans have switched from a refugee-kind stance to hating immigrants.
