Re: Nidbane Success Stories
As far as i know, the nidbanes stats are softcapped by the fetter. So a q10 fetter vs someone with 100 UA would scale a murder scent down to ~70 UA (somewhere aroudn there, i forget the exact numbers for nidbanes offhand)

Thats not so bad, though. It shouldn't be too hard to get good quality fetters in the future, now that dolmens and scents have quality.bmjclark wrote:As far as i know, the nidbanes stats are softcapped by the fetter. I see, that makes it a lot more reasonable. Thanks for correcting me.bmjclark wrote:As far as i know, the nidbanes stats are softcapped by the fetter. Re: Nidbane Success Stories
What are the actual effects of quality on the nidbane's strength? I know that the altars and fetters have qualities, and the type of scent also has an effect (murder is strongest), but what does this actually mean? How do all of these factors translate into actual stats?
Also, what are ways that people fight nidbanes? Can you just kite them forever on a horse and kill them with impunity?

Quality of items softcap the nidbane's final stats.NeoBasilisk wrote:What are the actual effects of quality on the nidbane's strength? Before you could just aggro them with fresh-spawn alts and they'd bring back that skull. Now you just put parry on and laugh. idk how nidbanes have actually killed people unless they weren't paying attention or something.NeoBasilisk wrote:Also, what are ways that people fight nidbanes? Haha, I have no clue. You have to be completely oblivious.

The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”
An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.
