Re:
You are correct that both request items and give a reward. I meant my idea more in the direction of village management than actual trade (sorry that i mixed it in) so as chieftain or lawspeaker of a big town with 20-40 people you manage your town more efficiently.Jackard wrote:...........that doesnt seem a little redundant to you? we already have runestones and letters, and the 'job board' is a less useful bounty stand
we dont need to pile on more features just for the sake of having more

Re: Buyer/Request/Bounty Stands
You do realize how redundant that is? A village of that size easily has all basic metals and a coinpress. They can easily set up an intravillage shopping center if they wish to have such an individualized setup with the vending stands that already exist and a local economy. The point of bounties is to create a way for people without direct access to metal to buy it while offline.
Keep showing you know absolutely jack shit about this game and game theory in general.
I'm gonna take a stab in the dark here. But I'm gonna guess you got that Ql chart because you were a goon and it was posted in a private section of the SA that you once had access to. You got all noble and shit and decided the information should be public. After that you were kicked out and being an individual you felt unable to play. The addictive factor of the game brought you back and you've been playing solo for about a month now and decided to stick your nose in affairs that you never understood to begin with. Which is probably why they gave you the boot: You're a clueless fucktard who is generally useless. Reminds me a a few people that got the boot from my village.

Re: Buyer/Request/Bounty Stands
he's no goon and never was... if you read his thread about ql he had some basic info to start off with and edited the op continuously as people posted corrections and additions, and made probably one of the best references on the forum in the process. so good for him for that i guess but for some reason he decided to start posting a whole shitload lately and, well you know the rest.

Ah...then that gives probability to my second theory. He was good, quiet player who got bored and quit after a while and some noob hacked his account thinking that post would give clout to his idiocy.

Re: Buyer/Request/Bounty Stands
I like this idea. I think that when the job is created the reward should have to be submitted and once the requested items are gathered and submitted the player gets the reward. I think this would do wonders for villages. I would not call it a quest thou, just a job or village task.Bigfish wrote:#2Chakravanti wrote:Can't believe I missed this one. Good ideas as always.
In addition there maybe some kind of "inner village quest system" tp manage big citys like Brodgar.
Writing desk
"The more powerful the people the bigger is their desk." Village authorities have a big desk in the town hall/their house. By clicking on this desk there will pop up several actions for example Jobs.
Jobs and Job board
By selecting "Jobs" he can create a "Quest" : "Town in need: 20 cast bars Reward: gold nugget". These are goods are stored in some kind of treasure chamber and can be accessed by tvillage authorities.

Re: Buyer/Request/Bounty Stands
Alternatively: Screw coins altogether, merge bounty and vendor stands by allowing players to set the price for their goods to whatever they want.Jackard wrote:One problem with vendor stands is players having coin in the first place. Vendors are only half of the small trade mechanic Potjeh mentioned so long ago. It is more reasonable for new players to earn coin through bounties than it is to expect them to make their own vendor stand, know a good location for the stand, have enough room/land to place it, know what items sell well, and hope their stock actually sells. And there are immediate rewards for bounties.
Bounties can provide some direction in the game for new players to focus on, so they arent left wondering aloud what they can do to help a larger/established village - if a craftsman needs something but doesnt have the time to pick it up, they can set a bounty up outside their house. Bounties allow requests for uncommon or rare goods, where vendors usually aim at popular goods. People may also feel safer doing bounties than arranging direct trades between strangers.
