Your only inherited anscestor has starvation damage, at least, so there's probably your reason.

yea i just noticed the starvation damage at the end when i looked at him. still learning, And i just noticed that apparently you have mutliple levels of the hunger bar. I misunderstood the eneergy bar for being the starvation barElGato wrote:If your energy is 2000 or below, you will Starve, which will slowly drain your health.PWNJimiPWN wrote: appreciate it man, sucks he died, says he took 20 points of starvation but the bar showed him at a lil over

Yarr... hunger (on character information page) is for FEP gains only, energy bar in top left is for effects like healing and starvation. We've requested that this be made more obvious with some name changes.

Yeah, it was very misleading haha. Also it seems like.. being more full does less for you skill wise? so why should i keep my character nourished?MagicManICT wrote:Yarr... hunger (on character information page) is for FEP gains only, energy bar in top left is for effects like healing and starvation. Re: help please...
I'm probably not the best one to answer since I'm pretty casual for the last couple of years, but the idea is to keep hunger up (the 2x-3x bonus areas) while keeping energy up for the most efficient FEP gains. Experienced players do this with a lot of data manipulation. Newer players* should do this as best they can with food variety and high energy/FEP, low hunger foods until they can play the "spreadsheet" game. *(or everyone in new worlds)
Some of the keys to chase are a good table and chair, Symbel items on the table, and quality food. Finally, a feasting bonus from using bonfires. Everything done right, you can eat night and day and barely fill your stomach.
Honestly, I tend to just eat what I have. I do try to focus on the hunger/FEP/energy ratios, but I don't put an absolute priority on it over stat gains. It's not as efficient, but it works for me. The biggest issue I have, since I'm trying to keep it casual, is some of the efficiencies other players utilize, such as drinks, for managing satiations. I don't use a lot of labor alts (work that expends a lot of energy, has little reward for what is done, such as digging dirt) or alts at all right now, and don't want to commit the time to doing a lot of trading or managing livestock, so it works for me.
