This change makes horses less and less useful. In my area there are thin thicket lines surrounding almost all biomes, making a kind of impenetrable Chinese wall for horses. It's a cage. It's a ridiculous change that makes no sense at all. Horses were only used for foraging, looking for clay and go to fishing zones fast. Now they don't even have that since the damn thicket is everywhere surrounding areas.
If you want to keep a penalty on horses there are less aggressive ways. For example, when they pass through a thicket area, they lose 30% of pony power and go 200% slower, but at least they can pass.

They are extremely good in legit PvE, on the other hand. I've had animals get away by running into a thicket, which I imagine is the intention.Uriel wrote:Horses are nerfed already to the point that they have no use in pvp, please change.
You can remove thicket tiles with a plow, or jump over them with a road. It's only really a problem for hunting in my experience.Chacer wrote:This change makes horses less and less useful. S tier change. Love it. Horses have always been a huge problem in PVP, and ever since coracles became the way they are its been so hard to get ppl with horses off of you. This seems like one of the best possible compromises that keeps horses in the game but makes ganks less degenerate. If there is a bug here it's that wild horses CAN go through thickets.Pills wrote:even if not a bug, this feels really bad to the point where i'd consider it a bug.
That said, the world could probably be generated in a way where it's less impactful for normal use and you just have to purposefully run towards/through one during honse ganks.

How else would the wild horses escape into the thicket?SnuggleSnail wrote:If there is a bug here it's that wild horses CAN go through thickets.Pills wrote:even if not a bug, this feels really bad to the point where i'd consider it a bug.
Only when mounted?
It would be nice if all the horses unhitched the player and went on for a while, you had to tie him up, take him out of the thicket and remount him.
Make friends with the other crabs or try to escape the bucket.

Maybe horse wearing saddlebags can? Otherwise I don't understand the intention of that, unless devs remove rawhide.

+1 - I'm guessing wildhorses do so that they can attack players (by walking to them through it), but the same could be done with tamed ones and I havent tested if that loops the code.
Please fix
