Honestly, Haven would run best with 2 worlds, both running for 2 years with resets 1 year apart. This gives players clarity and the opportunity to join a later world or an earlier world.
Splitting the community might give it a chance to grow as clashing personalities and big groups might move or be split, enabling new people to join in on those activities via the vacumes it makes.

Re: World 17?
With the release of World 16, we intend to initiate an experiment with more, and more frequent, worlds. Thus, some roughly six months after the release of W16, we intend to deploy another, new, world, without resetting World 16, but rather running the two worlds in parallel.

Re: World 17?
i still can't believe i forgot how palisades work around water and completely goofed my hermitage early on. just couldn't bring myself to either fix it or start again. eagerly awaiting a new world to give me a real good reason to NOT make the same idiotic mistake.

I vote for 2 worlds, each running a year, each one resetting 6 month after the other. So you can either live in one world for a year or play in a new world every 6 months.

Re: World 17?
this world lost its meaning after the mouse dungeons, the developers once again showed that they understand their own game worse than any noob who played it for a month.

Re: World 17?
I like the way you think. Let me help you develop it a little. It would be even more interesting if people knew that there will never be a new world.SnuggleSnail wrote:I would personally prefer long worlds, or preferably long worlds + expeditions. If people knew new world was at least a year away some of the people just waiting for new world might play casually instead.
Two worlds is a wonderful idea. One for the wipe-masturbators and hamsters in the wheel, restart every three months non-stop, lol. The second one is without wipe, supported for as long as possible, for sane players.jock wrote:Honestly, Haven would run best with 2 worlds, both running for 2 years with resets 1 year apart.
