So you're going to make a comeback when I have the scales completely tipped towards me, punching without even having to jump, or flex anymore, and taking 110+ damage every 2 seconds? I'd like to see that happen. I didn't even have to worry about defense when I saw the scales were already tipped completely towards me before he had even managed to break my defense. So why even bother with it, when I can keep punching?

The real truth is that is only going to be effective if I stand still, and do nothing. 200 MC chars will get flat-out killed, knocked out in a single punch with a full attack bar at my strength, and UA. Bloodlust active, they will only feed my attack bar for another hit, and it's quickly down to 1vs2 before they even have the IP, or my defense low enough to land a sting. I've played this game for a while, you know.

Not for long enough apparently. With 1000 UA vs 200 melee you'll come just short of breaking the defence, thanks to the recentish punch nerf. Even with einhered 2000 UA (which you don't have) you'd only do .76 of your max damage. To knock out 400 hp (a fairly easy number for a 200mc character) you'd need to do 1580 max damage with punch which means you'd need 10k str.

The melee chars on the other hand have fairly simple objectives. Keep distance till they get 2 IP with thunder, then 4 simultaneous NPNGs followed by 4 stings and you're dead.

Except the problem with that is Sting doesn't do a minimum damage, they'll need enough strength for their stings to not get completely absorbed by armor, and enough strength to ensure their attacks actually kill on the first hits against a high HP fighter. I wouldn't even attempt that with less than 300 MC, a q100+ SS, 400 Strength, and full barb/martial.

When attacking a target while the scales are at full tilt against you your skill levels are halved, this guy was "trying" to do exactly that, and the defense I was regaining from each tick was overpowering his sword, and his fists, so that he was either not even breaking my defense, or hitting for 0. There was no reason for me to stop the offensive when the most damage he dealt was 84 on a full attack bar vs. 16 defense.

Mind you I wasn't even trying to kill this guy, I just wanted him to stop chasing and drop agro. I told burgingham before that I wasn't going to, or trying to start shit with his alliance. These people attacked me first, and I just wanted to get out alive and find out why the fuck I was being attacked.
