farming does not give a similar amount of LP for the time it takes at all

It takes me about a week of farming stuff to get the same amount of LP I coulda gotten in one day of bear hunting, that's with doing some tree planting on the side.

You need q100+ crops.

Yes, but to get there you need 100+ farming, do you need 100+ marksmanship to take down lvl X bears?

Well no, you just need 50. But then again, bear LP is capped, whereas farming LP can rise infinitely. With q200 crops, farming probably beats bear hunting hands down.

do you realize how much LP it takes to get a skill to 200? its still much much faster to get any skill to 200 using hunting rather than farming.

Sure, hunting is faster early game, but late mid and late game crafting takes over.

pacho, farming alone is shit LP, making flour and bread or other baked goods is where you get the LP

same with mining, the actual mining is shit LP, but you get like 6000LP for a bronze plate

dude, I'm taking into account the baking and all the other shit. it still doesn't give nearly as much as hunting bears.

well i went out for a couple hours last night hunting bears and only got one, and some boars. in those 2 hours i could have harvested at least 2 wheat fields and made flour/bread. the thing with farming/baking is that it's a sure thing. sure, you might luck out and get 4 bears in an hour. you also might not find any, or just one. they are both viable forms of LP gain.
