Re: Post pictures of other games
Always enjoyed it, but that's what got me about SK, too. Might have to check it out again. All of Three Rings' games have been solid, it's just a matter if they over stretched (Puzzle Pirates) or were a little too zealous with the fees for activities or bonuses.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Yeah, it was huge! It was more like a personal challenge in Sandbox mode... many kerbals lost their lives during the several take off attempts before one of the versions was successfulOnep wrote: You made it to Eve and back with one craft? That's impressive! I bet your craft was monstrous!
Personally, I always loved having an orbiter craft to reconnect to. Once I got docking down, I pretty much integrated orbiters into all my designs and made a bunch orbital refueling stations.
One of the most fun things I found was making SSTOs. Space planes are the shit!
But yeah, during career mode I do that, too. Orbiters, refueling stations and docked landers/planes and such. I like the idea of eventually building one big "mother ship" over Kerbin that after built is able to self sufficiently fly anywhere anytime, with several ships docked to eat meant for mining and refueling and such, this is always the ultimate project, even after a base on every planet. Then all kerbals would be transported to the mothership and kerbalkind would survive among the stars... A new release always outruns me though, and I like to start fresh
And yeah! SSTOs are really fun! It feels great when your design gets off, orbit and land. And then you start that crazy frenzy of always trying to improve payload size more and more

^I did that, it lagged horribly but worked well. I was also using survival mods so the ship had to include parts for food, like farms, and dropships wih 4 different drills for mining and refueling etc. The camera isnt made for huge ships though, it was hard to actually control the ship from the outside because it was always out of focus.DaniAngione wrote: But yeah, during career mode I do that, too. Mine was big enough to start lagging too, and it was far from complete
I use tons of mods as well, gotta love KSP mods :3 During that gameplay I was using TAC for survival, so yes, lots of extra parts and load... It was a pretty burn though, all those solar panels as bright as stars flying around.... XD
It's really complicated for the camera to follow up indeed, I would spread some command pods around just to be able to switch the center point
And just so people won't say we're off topic, enjoy this picture of a Kerbal during reentry...

It's a bit like PA but it's better. More features and more fun. Plus the story is three people crashed on an alien planet, not got put in prison.NOOBY93 wrote:looks like a prison architect ripoff

So it's to PA what Trove is to Cube World?linkfanpc wrote:It's a bit like PA but it's better. More features and more fun. Plus the story is three people crashed on an alien planet, not got put in prison.NOOBY93 wrote:looks like a prison architect ripoff

Oh, I love RimWorld too! Been a supporter since before the first public builds!
It's actually not really related to Prison Architect. The creator admits being inspired by its graphics because he sucks with graphics editing, lol... He's an amazing programmer, though. It's basically a simplified space colony Dwarf Fortress, but highly entertaining and with an awesome combat system. I really recommend it too!
More recently updates have added art and things like that with descriptions like the (in)famous Dwarf Fortress artwork descriptions, and a relationship system that allows your colonists to develop relationships, grudges, throw parties or assassinate each other. All fun and games.
