hey and what if Bjorn and his partner simply release some kind of server client?... Some people can provide server with gameplay system like World 4 and some can provide gameplay system like world 5...
I wont compare Minecraft and Haven and Hearth.. but both use Java language and both is simply sandbox, crafting games.. Minecraft has a server client but there isnt so much oportunities and things like in HnH...

I like this game and someone like the new system, other not... but if players have a choice to choose their server, everybody will be happy...

Maybe developers wont agree with me or they have other intension.. Who knows.. (sorry for my english)

I wanted people to understand that SOME OTHER PEOPLE aren't as open minded as us, and to please keep that in mind. Open-mindedness is certainly not an "only american" thing. that's what I was promoting, on BOTH SIDES. and that's what it was.

Maybe you should take some of that "open-mindedness" you have so much of and give this new system a chance? Just because things are changed, and just because you're not getting the hamster treat like you've been programmed for every time you step on the lever in previous version(s) doesn't mean this is World is bad. Free your mind dude, and like re-/de-program your mind, man. It's not perfect obviously, but it's evolved from W4 man, and it's going to continue to evolve man.

Well we told. Maybe more than a half ppl don't like that new system, some ppl only dislike it but still playing and trying to do something and some of ppl like it.

I haven't seen 4-500 different posters all complaining about this new world and it's changes. I don't think I've seen more than about 50 or so different people- if that- posting in this specific thread that are hating this game. It's always the complainers that get the biggest attention. People who aren't upset buy these new changes, or are ok with them are too busy playing the game to stop and say anything. I'll channel Regan and call upon that Silent Majority.

Well I haven't stopped playing I never said I will, I'm giving a shot. But more I think about what will be like after some weeks, more I dislike new system. And even now I have hardly anything to do. Just wandering around doing nothing and waiting something to finish...

This kind of response of "oh there's nothing to do but wait for LP" confuses me. What's stopping you from doing anything to help yourself in the mean time? Even if you have full attention you can always use more Curios for later, or rabbits/chicken, FEPs or something useful if you're wandering around. Getting a boat makes it easier and faster. Getting boat building is about the only thing you ought to need to wait for, if even that. Just what are you needing that LP for if you can't do anything. What are you going to do with that LP once you get it? Just because something doesn't give you LP doesn't mean it's a useless activity.

Is stopping me the fact that i need 4000 lp, i'm unable to do almost everything (buildings, tools) and i've picked up everything could give me lp around me. So, i have my little camp, i don't have nothing to build anymore, i've travelled hours to search 2 rabbits and some fish, and still i don't have enough lp to yeomanry, probably because i've used my first lp for other things.
How could i knew that, 2 hours later, i could not play anymore because i've done all i needed to done and i didn't gained lp anymore?

And remember. In the meanwhile that the server is down, our study's dont grow.

And wait again for the animal husbandry+yeomanry LP? gg
If someone goes straight for yeomanry theyll be left with no other skills and empty LP and pretty much nothing to do.

Only reason I'd want that is so I could host a "proper" server that isn't being run on a home pc with basic dsl. Which I assume it actually is from it's current performance ranging from bad to abysmal. (Could also be horrible netcode, havn't seen pre-W4 stability.) But also so the server could be capped at around say 300-400. Currently (And I never would have said this during early W4.) it actually feels crowded.

Edit: Also so the server would be up for more than 60% of each day. Hell it only seems to be up while I'm sleeping currently.

I have one cupboard full of curios I have plenty of food, fishing is boring and I can go AFK and I will have full inventory of them.
There is nothing to do. I don't have enough expl yet coz I bought yeomanry to find and WWW, I don't have leather yet coz I just started to drying hides and I need backpack first.
So what else is there to do? I can't kill any animal exept ants and even them I exploit with going into water and just raid it without fight. I don't have anything to farm coz I don't have any seeds, I can't mine coz I don't have mining skill. So what else is there to do in that game? Foraging items over and over again and stockpile them? The only point that I see in that early game is explore as much and as fast as u can then make curios and wait until u will have enough to start buying skill to be able to do something.
WAITING IS WHAT IS KILLING THAT GAME. System would be good if we don't need to wait so much time. In W4 we could go grind and do something while "waiting" to get enough LP to get skills we needed. At start I made everything as here and I already had around 7k LP just for building house and basic tools. After that bucket grind to get other skills.
Problem of game on start is that skills for doing something are too expensive. WWW should be visible at expl*perc 10. There should be more chickens/rabbits so ppl can get some leather faster and meat and bones ofc.
We should go hunting and start farming in few hours after we start one char so we can start making stuff and not wandering around without anything to do.

Another thing that is killing that game is: a lot of trees will go out of cones/bark/branches very fast. This is same effect as chopping down trees for bucketgrinding. Other resources will be depleted as well very fast (clay and other stuff needed to build curios). Curios should be put back into normal inventory after study so we won't need so much of crafting them and gathering all the stuff.

i hated w5 when it hit and it is a lot harder but its starting to grow on me. hope others start feeling the way i do about it. my only problem with it is the down time but thats to be expected with a new world i suppose. and the fact i died 3 times already lol
