Metal goods like that are based on their price. Frying pan if wanted at a higher quality count as the price of a high quality metal bar.
Meat Grinder price I've still yet to come with an exact way to do this 'well'.
Meat Grinder ql seems to be based on metal only, so you can use q10 blocks from a stump and price it at the metal value.

yea i was pretty sure it mattered... i guess it'd be easy to test if you have 6 bars of lowq metal all the same q, use different wood and see if q10 beef makes the same q chorizo on both

I made a grinder with q86 wrought and q10 wood a while back making around q28 cow chorizos.
And, I made another with same ql wrought and q20 wood and same ql chorizos.

Yeah, I can confirm the meat grinder thing - I tested mine with several Q values of meat, and figuring the grinder as the standard 1/4 of product quality gives me exactly the Q of the metal I used.

Kind of makes sense as its the metal that grinds, the wood is just the "stand" for the grinder i guess.
Sortof how cauldrons and fuel doesn't matter as the fire doesn't cook the food directly, unlike a oven.
