Re: Game Client modified by Ender
Thanx again Ender! Hotfix (redX, Outline) works - without changing anything with updater files...

Enders issues, unanswered in thread
I tried posting in the ender client thread, but I didn't get a response.
So I tried changing the run.bat file for Ender's cliet to exactly what it says in the example, downloaded the "game" and placed it in c:\games\haven and hearth" just to match the edited code, and it just gives me "Windows is unable to locate -Djava.library.path="C:\Games\Haven and Hearth"". What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Game Client modified by Ender
@Ender - possible the latest hot fix messes with claim management somehow ???
Anyone else trouble with claim management?
Not showing normal management menue but letting me draw squares on ground and show size of it in a small window like scents direction...
Also minesupport radius isn't showing
Update
After going back to 13.07.11 Haven.jar (by renaming) redX, outline, claim management and mine support show radius works...

Re: Enders issues, unanswered in thread
I actually wasn't aware there was a search function for individual topics.
Did some searching and took out the start in my run.bat, now it just starts the window (ms-dos clone looking thing) and then doesn't do anything. I guess I'll keep looking, but if anyone happens to know the answer to this I would really appreciate a quick answer. Who doesn't?

There is a client troubleshooting thread here. Although sorely outdated and originally created for the Gilbertus client, it DOES have the solution to your problem. Also, I would like to make a properly formatted troubleshooting thread, but just do not have the time to do it.
Furthermore, I DID respond to your post, you just never answered. Once again: Please paste the entire contents of your run.bat along with the version of your operating system and whether it is 32/64bit.

I tried to watch for it, refreshed the thread about an hour later and I didn't see the response. Sorry. Doing my best to not be redundant.
As far as I can tell I'm running 64 bit win 7. I thought it was 32 bit and then itunes 10 said it didn't want to work without being the 64bit version. Contents of my 64bit run.bat:
start "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" -Djava.library.path="C:\Haven\HnH_Ender_x64" -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se -r ./res
The "haven\hnh_ender_x64" bit is recent. Before it was exactly as the original post was, and I created folders to match the wording. I found that post about taking out start and all it did was start and stop immediately. The djava path is where I put the "game file", i.e the since java file I get when downloading the original game from the PAQ "of course" link.

Re: Game Client modified by Ender
Download 32 Bit Ender client, put folder in c:/Program Files (x86)
make run.bat in folder looking like this:
It seems you only have Java 32 Bit - as it is in Program Files (x86) which is the 32 Bit Program Folder at 64 Bit windows
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
64 Bit Java Runtime Environtment 1.6.0.26 for DL here:

and yes you can have installed both at same time...

(From a couple of pages ago. Someone gave a terse answer, but thought someone might like a better explanation.)
Although you don't see any progress, the client has to check ALL the graphics against the cache on the server. This can take several minutes in the regular client, and can take even longer in the custom clients that display larger areas. Depending on where I log out, it can take anywhere from just a minute or two to start actually allowing me to input upwards of ten minutes or so. Better internet connections will speed this up. There may be a case with the ports and such used by the client/server that might get throttled by your ISP, too.
Best of luck. Sorry for taking a couple of days to get back to you on this.
Also, I'm not an expert on the custom clients, so someone might have more information for you if you want it.
