Are you fucking kidding me?
Forget this I'm becoming a farmer
EDIT: No, you know what after reading more I feel like I need to elaborate more. If you forage zoomed out and you have radar client, why the fuck would you need an autohearther? You have ample time to get out of the way. And honestly if you play a normal zoom without radar at this point in the world, you shouldn't live to see another day anyways so you shouldn't be given the chance with this. Radar in the public eye already ruined a lot of things for the vast majority of people but this is just sickening. Inb4 auto call down thunder clients.

As I clutch my copy of Leviathan, I absolutely agree with what Burg said. The game as it is now, however, is not a Hobbesian "state of nature", because of how broken it is. I think it would do well by trying to emulate Hobbes' idea on the state of nature, but that's beside the point. The point is, this "band-aid" does nothing but blatantly cater to the Ainran and Ainran-wannabe raider/griefer/killer types. It's not going to be long now before an auto-aggro mod comes out, then it will be impossible to be peaceful short of never leaving your walls, ever. Just these simple fixes are not going to fix the major problems that the game has currently.
Bitza also brought up a very good point. Before reading what he posted, I thought that just eliminating teleportation would be a good temporary fix, but that caters to the Ainraners even more than a hearthing delay. This hearth delay should definitely be revoked, because once an auto-aggro mod comes about (which I believe will be very soon), then any idea of remaining peaceful will be out the window, and the game will be even more broken and unplayable.
People need to start understanding that this fanatical devotion to the cult of PVP and particularly the PVP-ers is not doing the game any good, and this new "update" is a perfect example of it.

The developers, whose game this is? Disagree with you. They built the game to be full on pvp+.
"I shall PERSONALLY witness for you at the shiny, chrome gates of Valhalla!"
My hate for avu is perfectly justified as all he does is spew hate about ainran, the devs, the game, and SUPPORTING breaking a game with autohearthing because it annoys us. So yes, fuck avu, fuck you, and fuck alg. Narrow-minded? You're the one being narrow-minded. You, Avu, and the rest of sodom should just go find a corner and talk about the good old world 3 days.
Tell me, what is the point in raising quality, and combat stats, if not to fight other people? Bragging rights? No, i don't like how it is right now where every one just kills each other for no reason what so ever, and believe me, i eagerly await a town like sodom to attempt to be a policing force. But adding a toggle PVP button (which autohearth is) is a fucking terrible idea, no matter how you cut it, and a downright malicious idea considering i don't think alg honestly expected jorb to intervene. It was an attempt to completely break the game.
I do think of my own amusement, but i also think of it from the otherside. The only possible way to punish a criminal right now is by tracking him online, something which was made completely and utterly impossible thanks to autohearthing. I've already lost a person who raided a friends town twice thanks to this feature. If i vandal someones waterspot, or kill their friend, wouldn't it be nice to think theres some tiny possibility (however slim) of them catching me outside and killing me?
No the game isn't only about pvp, but it is certainly a part of it. If you want to play a game where pvp is optional there are also many games like that out there (WoW comes to mind).
In short, you suggesting he remove the cast time from hearthing is the worst fucking idea i've ever heard.

Opposed to you I actually present an argument. Your hate post right there supports my theory perfectly so thanks for proving me right.
Raising stats etc goes perfectly with my explanation of punishment and societal protection.
Of course a hearthbot is bad, but it makes the game actually better right now considering the current state it is in. You just don't see this because you are experiencing a personal disadvantage from it. A common human flaw which I cannot really blame you for, but I at least hope others don't listen to such biased words.
Also, I am all for open PvP so don't put words in my mouth.
I think autohearth would have completey destroy the social aspect of this game (whats left of it). You never would of seen someone unless you were ramming a town. Which never happens.
You may have foiled the plans of BAD-EVIL this time, but there is no rest for the wicked.
Right, I never stop and talk to people. Bad argument I suppose, it doesn't happen to often. But the point is... it's going to be the same as with auto-hearthing.. How can you support either side? They are two extremes. EDIT - with the same result might I add.
