Bone/Skinning Knife

Stone axe: (Branch Q + Stone Q)/2

Stone Q being capped by trees, but a bit lower than branches, also the clay because of kilns and such, either way it ends up quite a bit under your trees, and quite a bit under 200.

Skinning Knife: (if regular) (Branch Q + Bone Q)/2

As opposed to perhaps a q130 stone axe, you'd end up with a q190+ Bone Q.

This means that right from the getgo of 200 survival you are able to make the best hides and best meat Q.


I'd like to see some input from people who actively do leather and work with it a lot more frequently, I believe niltrias does.

My Skinning Knife idea.
(2 Steel nuggets + Bone )/2
Steel for the blade, Bone for the handle incase anyone doesn't get it.
Now if you want that uber skinning knife you had better be able to crank good steel.

steel Q20 + Q200 Bone = only nets you Q110 knife
Steel Q80 ...Q140 knife. so this doesn't push Q to high.

Personally I'd like to see the formula (2*Bone + steel) /3 for top Q's 160-180

I almost want to say: "No one would do this because steel is a bitch to make;" but on that same note if it nets you a couple of quality then people are probably going to do it. So I'm pretty cool with this idea.
