Oh, Star Trek economics I assume. In that case, I'll just replicate myself a ton of gold-pressed latinum bars.

Don't forget you can have infinitely self replicating replicators without any power source in star trek. (DS9 self replicating minefield in front of the wormhole)

Futuristic bullshit? Fuck man, live your present bullshit, I prefer lookin into futuristic bullshit.
If you want to change the world, change yourselves first!! Our society is build and parented to hate anyone who steps out and says something controversial.
Nobody has read what the project is all about, what are the main ideas and concepts but id didn't stop you from criticising it. Pathetic. You're all just a bunch of brainwashed labor force. Have a nice life.

Look kid we live in a world of limited natural resources with an ever expanding global population. That is fact and your fairy tale article is full of stupid shit.
P.S. Anyone else finds it amusing that the site he linked has a Store section?

Re: Coinperss and economics.
The guy who stands behind The Venus Project has designed a house that produces it's own electricity, water and even food and is 4x cheaper to build than ordinary, traditional house. Simply put, you can cut yourself off from the system. Large part of material you use for construction is just garbage - old car tires, aluminium cans and plastic bottles.
Houses look like this.
And here you can read and watch more about it.
But all this will be considered more futuristic bullshit. Fine, I don't rly care what you think.
You think money is good for world and I don't understand what's amusing about donate/store section of their website? All those things they sell are available for free on the web but if you want to support them you can get a non digital release, big deal ><

If your presentation of it was anything to go by the ideas were not new, not original, tried and proven flawed several times over, often with catastrophic results. The beauty of learning from experience is that you don't have to look upon each new instance of a Jehova's Witness trying to convert you with the same baby blue eyes as you might have the first one.krawco wrote:Nobody has read what the project is all about, what are the main ideas and concepts but id didn't stop you from criticising it.
In short: I guess we've all heard that kind of bullshit before.
Until you get appendicitis, or any other condition that requires even the slightest medical attention. Or until you get a sudden craving for a glass of beer. Or until you want to watch television. Yes, indeed, until that happens you, my good man, are free from the shackles of the oppressive capitalist system of exploitation. I give it about a forthnight, and I'm being very generous.Simply put, you can cut yourself off from the system.
