Just a warning for those who do not know / havn't found out, mining along the edges *can* cause caveins also.

Mining any tile while standing on a mined tile has the potential to cause a cave-in.Projeear wrote:Just a warning for those who do not know / havn't found out, mining along the edges *can* cause caveins also.

Actually we had a big one before this was taken that I cleaned up, it knocked down 6 supports and was a pain in the ass.Jackard wrote:dont forget to post again when you get a cavein cascadeAnaklumos wrote:I still say all the supports are rediculous, they need a bigger range, look at this crap

well yeah. Ive got a lot of large pockets of ore. they have all smelted into iron, So a good question is, Is it possible to get multiple types of ore in a cave?RedChu wrote:All ores say they're iron. The coverage of a support should be doubled, that picture is just silly with all of those supports

Be careful when destroying supports to allow carts to get through...

Re: Cave mining: How much progress have you made?

Supports really suck. So much wood hauling because they take nearly a full tree each. Would really be nice if they were changed to hold up 8 tiles away instead of 4. Would let you put more between them.
