the time outs make me wonder a bit if it isn't a Provider routing problem or a problem at Level3.net ?!?
FYI
21 decix-gw.hetzner.de [80.81.192.164] (Where Hetzner gets connected to Frankfurt Node)
22 hos-bb1.juniper1.rz12.hetzner.de (these are routers inside the Datacenter12 - RZ 12 where the server is located)
23 hos-tr1.ex3k15.rz12.hetzner.de (these are routers inside the Datacenter12 - RZ 12 where the server is located)

Re: Disconnection Issues
Hmmm i see. So assuming it is a provider routing problem the only way to fix it would be to change Internet providers... So potentially to solve this we need to be able to find an alternative route to the server.borka wrote:the time outs make me wonder a bit if it isn't a Provider routing problem or a problem at Level3.net ?!?

That being the case is there a work around, like perhaps a proxy that she could use or something else?
As you can imagine she just wants to play without the dc's. if its a bit laggy she doesnt mind.

Re: Disconnection Issues
I seriously doubt it's ISPs problem that she's losing the connection.

@Listen Pal
try to ask the provider about any problems with routing and tell them her problem...
sure you could try with a proxie like https://www.torproject.org/
Java uninstall and reinstall checked?!?

Re: Disconnection Issues
Good news, So far =p.
We used another free proxy/vpn called Hotspotsheild, edited the bat file for Haven and hearth and so far no time outs/disconnections.
Code for the bat file:
\updater\HnH_updater.exe
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -Dhttp.proxyHost=proxy.work -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080 -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se
I've also attached the CMD trace! (didnt block the IP as she was using a proxy)
Woot woot!
I will update if it continues to work without dc's

Re: Disconnection Issues
neat - looks like Hurricane does a better routing then Level3 ... Pao Alto -> Ashburn -> Paris -> Frankfurt

Re: Disconnection Issues
Updating, the proxy in fact worked.
She had no disconnection issues what so ever.
Thanks for all the help!
Edit: Hopefully in the future there will be another work around =3

Re: Disconnection Issues
Hey so I have been expieriencing bad disconnect issues with haven as well, I am at a hotel, and I read this post, installed hotspotshield, and noticed a complete difference in tracert results. Was wondering about the batch file tho, where did you get the information to change it? Would I be able to copy and paste it? Although I have no update file/folder?
