Clearly, and despite the fact I was warned about it I never noticed that my shoes died nor the thorns on the picture, took me falling unconscious three times before I thought to check it.

I suggest this needs to be improve a little. (or I need more clue either works)

Edit: where is the thorn image meant to show anyway?

under the bars (happyness, stamina, hunger), depending what other buffs are active.

so, I seemed to have gotten a thorn even though I have been wearing my newb shoes since i left the newb cave on character creation. How the hell am I supposed to remove this thing? and Why don't you just remove it from the game altogether?

You don't get them at all if you wear shoes. It disappears within a few seconds.

Well, I am taking hhp damage and i have this weird travel weariness icon that is some image of a strange sharp thing that I cant quite describe.

This is also what apparently killed my last character for no reason. I am quite frustrated because I cant seem to get back to my claim and I was doing well and died for no reason while standing in my claim.

All i had when i died is this weird travel weariness icon.

Travel weariness won't kill you, it's a limiter on how much you can use fast travel, is all. Put on some clogs and you won't see a thorn again.

I agree that those effects could use better tooltips.

I have clogs on! I have never NOT had shoes on since i made this character!

That's travel weariness. Not a thorn, and it won't hurt you.
