The distance measuring I recall but was there really a marker function in the previous public maps? How would that even work if you were publically marking your location?

What program do you use? I used to 'Salem map tools' but I now can't export any image using it - always get an error message about GDI+

Ah, its custom written software. Not really meant to be used by an individual.
