Thank you for my latest concussion.

Was in a long, 1-tile wide corridor while lifting a boat and ran into a bat blocking my way. As I could not drop the boat anywhere (I had been actively looking for an opportunity since quite a distance before as I wanted to mine some of the stuff) I looked on the forums to see if maybe it is possible to engage animals in combat while lifting things. And sure enough, I could! I just can't attack, or defend myself, or run away, or do anything else except unequip my Vanptreiyu to make sure I get KOed before I die to HHP damage. Thanks for the tip! I can confirm that the 'engaging' part works!

Yeah, and also lose my boat and probably its contents while I'm at it, right? And what good would a batcape do me? It would only provide more soak so I won't get any SHP damage (which I already wasn't getting) which would mean the attack continued until my HHP reached 0. I purposely unequipped my Vapntreiyu to prevent this.

I aggro'ed the bat, though. That's why I had the chance to look it up before making this informed decision. (I had the choice between killing the bat or turning back as the corridor was only 1 tile wide.)

So guess a good pro tip would be to always leave somewhere to lay things down at in regular intervals if you plan on carrying boxes, boats or whatever down your mineshaft so if you do come across a bat or other object blocking your path, you can deal with it.

Carry with yourself a dummy masterkey named "Main Gate" or similar. In case of hostile and lethal encounter that way you'll give the victor some merry running around.

PSA: Quest direction

https://streamable.com/u6smx (which one is it????)

To know the true direction of the quest, make the camera completely top-down so you only see the top of your head. Thank me later
