I will thank you for the advice and for your faith in my ability. I will stay with hope that maybe you can just be a bit jaded. You can think for me naive, but everyone on these forum seem to be quite nice to the others. You better keep your friends close, thats all what matters.
One day you will try to rise a faction and people with more friends and more time here will fuck you no matter what reputation you have.
Why? Because its easyer than building and keeping siege machines and because drama fills some stomachs.

Jaded you say. Exactly why do you think the visitor debuff was implemented?Ysh wrote: I will thank you for the advice and for your faith in my ability. Protip: Betrayal was the main food here. Why using a ram when you can use a mole?

I think the debuff was to promote some safety socials. I think that you cannot put another man in a place to betray you if you think he can stomach it. People can fail with stupidity and malice. Any leaning on another can maybe leave you falling.pedorlee wrote:Jaded you say. I think these people can be like a family, but even I try to not put out a situation where the family can hurt me.

After giving some brief thought, I will make correction of a slight flaw in my statement. Reputation isn't a measurement of people's thought of you by sum but rather a series of what each (group of people/like mind individuals) thinks of you. To break it down, it isn't one measurement by several of them (assuming reputation can be assigned as a number).Patchouli_Knowledge wrote:Would you rather trade with a known oathkiller or someone that has been in the trade business over several worlds?pedorlee wrote: If you spend enough time here youll learn that reputation means nothing.

As for what I said earlier about trade reputation. Well...

Yeah RJT already called me out here and on Skype. Seeing that I just posted two highly flawed statements, I think I am going to rest.sabinati wrote:wrongPatchouli_Knowledge wrote:Post count is meaningless especially if you have a reputation of posting one word spam which can turn that post count number into a negative thing. With an account ban you'd also lose any vanity items and sub time/tokens, and that's certainly something to care about losing.MagicManICT wrote:You eliminate access to any characters on that account. That said, deleting characters would be as effective. However, we don't have a delete function for characters as is, would they go through that trouble to punish an offender? It'd probably be easier for them to reset characters to all base stats/0 LP.

Re: Divine Judgment: The Case of overtyped vs 広島市
Visitor debuf was added after last world events on Rileyh. Odditown introduced a mole inside their enemies village, opeened doors and they killed everybody. So month of work went to the trash for an obviously easy movement. One faction down. In previous worlds there were teleports outside the village, so nobody but the ls had the masterkeys guarded in alts nobody could kill. Everybody started blaming hpw easy and stupid was a system that allowed that and devs changed some rules. Guess who raped the visitor debuff this world and wiped the same faction again...
In previous worlds oathkillers were usually prosecuted and killed. It happened sometimes but it usually ended bad to the perpetrator, in game and in forums.
In legacy, having a good structure in the village building, with isolated plots and teleports outside, it was enough to reduce the role of a mole to an informant of the movements of the enemy. In hafen it became a pussy strategy consisting in opening doors. Thats why.
Also, perpetrators have names and surnames and arr all well known. They are allways veterans and because of them the subforum of dwarves its an erial.
Clever its the word. I have some otherbadjectives thou...

To me, the worst punshiment is an IP ban. There are ways around it, I know, how ever that to me it is the worst. You can grind stats, you can replant, rebuild, everything, but if your blocked, then that is the final word.
You can even get the rest of the folks in on it. If some one finds some one that has gone around the IP ban to keep playing, and a player points this out, then they should get an award. Sort of adds a self policing ability to it. Also if the banned person were to go back to thier old faction, then you can ban that faction.
Awards could be anything from a hat to an lp item that gives 2 million lp in 1 hour. Heck I would even turn over on my own mother to get the lp.
