But please tell me exactly what mechanic was abused? We spawned on the charter stone inside a village and didn't get visitor debuff? Logically you should not get visitor debuff when spawning on a charter stone inside a village, because the charter stone should be protected and the secret password should be kept SECRET

Just stop already. If that's a nuke worthy abuse, then everyone should be nuked. This issue is so simple and limited to two things, things that everyone playing this game actively does a few times a day atleast and doesn't notice it's an abuse. Why?

Maybe it was intended to not get visitor debuff when you port to your own hearthfire? How could we know, I mean, why would such a fundamental thing be missed? Also I see way more ways to abuse it if it was the other way around (get visitor when you do port to hf) than how it's now.

Also, you guys could've noticed that a long time ago (basically since visitor debuff was added in W8, months ago) and reported it, but you didn't. Maybe you also thought it's not an issue?

The only way you can raid somebody is using the siege mechanics, get over it.

What we did was basically the exact same thing. Instead we used their own charter stone which they left unprotected and aloud characters to spawn on it (BIG BUG, MASSIVE ABUSE). Fed the spawned character curios (BIG BUG, PLS NUKE). Bought vandalism on said character (WHY ISN'T THERE A NUKE YET???). Used vandalism to build a mine hole on claim (ABUSE ABUSE ABUSE) Went up mine hole and raided village.

The mob mentality on these forums is hilarious.

Actually getting inside by MINING into cave/minehole it's ok but building your own minehole just to get over the visitor debuff? Is this ok?

Very simple: If a village allows you to have your HF inside their village, and allows you to come and go as you please, then said village should not be considered "bugraided" when the owner of the HF decides to fuck them over.

Just a lack of relation between them - which almost everyone is using, just by porting into a village. Everyone should be punished? Retards will still say "bug abuse" though.

So how many times do you think you guys hearthed inside your walls without noticing visitor wasn't being applied? 1000? Maybe 2000? For me I think it's close to 2000 times including last world.

Everything in this raid used mechanics in their proper form with expected results, much unlike a chair wall jump bug.

It is expected that you can spawn an alt off a charterstone, so we spawned off the charterstone? You see, nothing unexpected happened here. No bug.

Getting over the wall using a chair? Not an expected result. Bug found.

Walking off someone's claim to remove a visitor debuff? Expected, nothing out of the ordinary, or unpredictable.

Nothing in this raid consisted of mechanics that produced an unexpected result, in other words, there was nothing here to really formulate a bug report. Instead its more of a C&I thread, should hearthing to a hf on claimed land give you a visitor debuff? Etc..

Nevertheless the dev's have mechanics in place to completely prevent raids like this, unlike that of wall jumps. This raid could have been prevented by closing gates, preventing people from visiting your charterstone, or the simplest of all options, disable spawning of new players on your god damn charter stone. This is a case of a village dropping the wall on security in several ways.

However, I don't see anyone here advocating to nuke people who really abuse visitor debuffs, like everyone who has a gate in front of their cave entrance to ensure a guaranteed visitor. Or other exploits that exist.

Your actual charterstone was used to spawn a character in your village. How is this neglect not comparable to leaving an unwalled cave or minehole in one's village?

yeah probably not the smartest of things to do and unfortunately i was not around... but even if i was i probably still would not have known that you can teleport in a character with no visit debuff if you wasn't in the village. The rest of the village may have known this i dont know.. but it doesn't seem to be common knowledge. where as ensuring a minehole or cave entrance is walled is common knowledge.

If i had taken the time to mess around with game mechanics to find ways to abuse them, then not told J&L about it. then yeah i may have known you could teleport a character in with no visitor debuff.

If the teleported character (by charterstone) had visitor debuff, all we had to do was walk him outside your open gates.
