Both, if I'm not mistaken. They will eventually decay on their own over time but the map despawning will also force them to decay.

Do wells require to be on a source to produce water? Or is that just to get higher ql water?

Could I for instance build one anywhere without divining and get water from it?

Nope, you need to be on top of a water deposit. The water's quality will be directly related to the quality of the water on that tile so if there is a node nearby it will be affected.

just tamed my first aurochs (huzzah! luvyall for the many guides, helped a lot!)

Does the quality of the cows/bulls lower from LQ fodder? or is it only during growth (i.e. only calves) dat fodder influences quality?

The same goes for chickens: I bought a breeding pair of HQ chickens from a trader, but I've only got mediocre fodder. Will the pair lower in quality? or will only newborn chicks be influenced?

Thx!

edit:
also, is there a way to empty a trough? I quickly filled it with some apples since I didn't have any fodder around, but now it's Q10 (which I will want to improve over time). Or do I just add new HQ to balance it out?

The animals will lower in quality based on the food that they consume. You cannot empty a trough except into other troughs, as far as I know. Just make a new one and trash the low quality one.

yup that's what I ended up doing. seems strange the chicken coop has an empty button, but troughs don't. Oh well.
on a sidenote, I got lucky and got a bull+cow from two tamed aurochs. yay me! (RNG took pity in my pearl streak :p)

Are there still bugs involving using cliffs as walls? I know of the chair one (you take a chair and depending on how you dismount from it you can glitch over the cliff facing) and the HF one (where you have one HearthFire and spam a bunch of HF's 'till you wind up with one on the other side of the cliff).

Have either of those been fixed?
