Play to win vs play as a scrub

I don't speak of consequences from other players, but of consequences of violating actual game rules.

thats when there exist actual game rules, and im not only talking about those from other players.
here, jorb and loftar are the rules and consequences can change depending on how they see the event, even if they actually try to be consistent.

Still until there is a EULA or similar to accept on account creation there exists no rules. Its just a gut feeling and general acceptable behavior that is regarded as norms. But noone have written down anything and noone have accepted the terms after joining this community. The fact you can spoof IPs, create a new alt and pretend to be a new person, find ways to trick people about your identity and other means of hiding your identity your reputation means jack squat meaning you can do whatever you want as long as your not nuked by jorb or loftar.

When they do nuke individuals it also comes as a surprise as there behavior is uncalled for as they could simply come of as abusing there powers. Because they are not following any rules written anywhere. I remember when AD W6 end got nuked by loftar and being both glad he did take action against individuals dossing the server and feeling a bit despised towards his actions for abusing his powers in a ill manner.

yep you'll need to read the small print (if you're going to find it )

That applies only the source code of the client proper, though. When you play Haven & Hearth, the client proper is combined with our game resources, and it is that combination (along with the server to which it connects) which creates the actual game. As long as you play that combination, we consider that being our game that you play. As such, there are a few restrictions which we consider proper. Most importantly, there are a few ways in which the client can be modified so as to constitute what we would consider cheating (rather minor cheating, but cheating nonetheless). As a matter of policy, we do not allow such clients to connect to our server, or use our resources. In practice, we are, of course, not likely able to police all such use, but if we do discover it being used blatantly, we'll certainly take action. Likewise, we would, naturally, consider it an offense to try and crack or otherwise break the server. (Those points will probably not apply to the vast majority of you reading this text, so please do excuse my brusqueness. You probably agree that they are worth mentioning.)

bolds put in by me -> DoSing with scents -> break the server

Oh interesting. I wonder what they mean by this part.

Maybe a response from Jorb or Loftar in this area would be nice.

abusing? ill manner? really?

a part of chat log, a month or so ago

loftar > I mean, I know there are many people who probably haven't read my opinions on botting or whatever the subject may be since they're buried deep in the forums, but when I can't find anything to add to what I've said previously, it doesn't feel very meaningful to speak up.

i actually tried to find some deep buried posts of his in the past in vain, got too exhausted

Ya at the time when AD got hit it felt cheap that DIS somehow had hurd about the nuke and come to gloat and raid. It was probably not his intent but the way everything played out was quite bad.

[Tonkyhonk]

everyone in irc heard it, iirc. when the server crashes in a strange way, many active players gather in and ask... #haven is not DIS channel or anything. (its actually goon lol)

Fix the map servers you worthless waste of life.
You're breaking millions of farm bots including mine. You expect me to manually click every little carrot?

Pray tell, what is the actual error? Perhaps I can use it to ruin your bots even further.
