a lot of people don't care that their character will eventually die. i don't. what i care about is trolls. people get their mains to set up a nice, working economy, then they spawn troll alts and give them everything they need to be a good troll, then they kill people who can't do shit about it. Even people who play warriors can't stop them because the warrior is a job, not a lifestyle like trolling. Fix the imbalance like chak is talking about, fix the combat system, and make having god-like stats impossible, then the game will be so much better. still not perfect, but hey, our world isn't perfect either.MasterCatfish wrote:Personally, I like that there's inevitable death at the end of your character in H&H. Kinda like real life!
You're a dumbass. This is totally against the spirit of the game. It should be entirely possible to do this. Yet, it shouldn't mean so goddamn much to do so. It should cost more and be less valuable to have such a development level.vikingdragons wrote:and make having god-like stats impossible
How is it dumb? Its not reasonable to have stats that reach to infinity imo, because it demoralizes noobs and lets players grief with no effort whatsoever.Chakravanti wrote:You're a dumbass.vikingdragons wrote:and make having god-like stats impossible
its really not, im not sure why chak disagrees seeing as hes an advocate of reducing the power gapBrickbreaker wrote:How is it dumb? Im with Flame on this one because I am also failing to see a future in this game if thats the path the devs want to take.
i agree fully, especially with the last part! crime is so ridiculously easy!jorb wrote:Let me be the social Darwinist here and say that I believe that thieves, griefers, looters, scoundrels, murderers and robbers exist for evolutionary reasons. These niches are profitable and meaningful modes of survival, not just to the thief, but to the society as a whole. The perceived parasite, in fact, exists in symbiosis. A great deal of human ingenuity takes place in the form of competition, and thieves have their part to play in that. If you look at classic mythology, for example, there is almost always in traditional conception of an original thief. Not evil incarnate, as the semitic religions would have you believe, but rather fulfilling his place and destiny in the world through these actions. The actions, in themselves, not necessarily being morally wrong along a dualistic scale. Loki, would be an obvious case in point, but let us also not forget the archetypal images of the noble outlaw: Robbin Hood, etc. In western culture, at least, the thief is not seldom depicted as a heroic character: the underdog in defiance of powers greater than himself.
What I strive for is not to give this aspect of human existence more than its equal share. I, quite simply, strive for balance and equilibrium. Sustainable dickery, if you will.
That being said, crime is becoming a bit of a problem.
