It's entirely possible that the new tree generation process will result in new quest givers as well.Dondy wrote:Question: If quest givers improve the quality of resources in areas around them, does this not increase the chances of people deliberately cutting down or chipping to death quest-givers in areas not their own?

Question: is the buff to quality of nearby stuff gained through questgivers permanent or temporary?

I think they wear said to be permanent so long as the qust giver stays there (with the area they support the bonus).Granger wrote:Question: is the buff to quality of nearby stuff gained through questgivers permanent or temporary?

I don't recall any qualifications on the bonuses. They were just permanent. At least, reading back through the patch notes, I'm not seeing anything.Redlaw wrote:I think they wear said to be permanent so long as the qust giver stays there (with the area they support the bonus).Granger wrote:Question: is the buff to quality of nearby stuff gained through questgivers permanent or temporary?
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

It wouldn't really make sense otherwise. Would essentially make it mandatory to claim and protect every quest giver.MagicManICT wrote:I don't recall any qualifications on the bonuses. Re: Game Development: Searchin' Angler
i'm disagree, it could be fun, but that creature is too strong to be worth, for a developed and fed char there no interesting from it(curio is good but its the only thing), for a new player there is no possibility to kill it without ranged attack.Lunarius_Haberdash wrote:This is not true, but I'm going to suggest that it should be.DatSheep wrote:Heh was hoping I could just range attack the anglerfish but they freakin' walk!
