Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.
no russians please, this thiefs's attack was primary targetted on russians.
Every account that has been logged into from what I believe to be his IP-address (potentially including stolen accounts)?
Every IP from where login has occured to his account and his alternative accounts.
All other accounts connected to his account with same or diferent IP loging (since those that have access to his account can be connected to this foolishness).
Its really not that hard. Like Nike figured it long time ago, Just do it.
I'd be more concerned about nuking the village to be honest. Who cares if a character dies? That happens all the time, especially if you are a raider.
Considering the stolen accounts were found in his village, the other villagers gave tacit approval of his plan, if not outright participated in it. None of them reported it, nor as far as I can tell have tried to make amends or even apologize.
I think "You'd better make damn sure no one in your village is stealing passwords or you suffer too" is a good message to send out. No reason to play wack-a-mole with cheaters when you can just raze the whole thing and make the players moderate their allies.

Phishing for passwords with an engineered client is really really easy. Just saying.
You would have to add features to said client that would make people want to DL it in the first place, and once it has/had been outed as a passlogger, no one would get it again. Eventually (In a very short time span) everyone would just stick with Ender's or the other known to be legit clients. All in all, a bunch of work just to gain access to characters that may be subpar of what you can create yourself. Just because I sum things up in one sentence doesn't mean I don't know what i'm talking about. kthxbye.
"I shall PERSONALLY witness for you at the shiny, chrome gates of Valhalla!"
I'd ban the account thieves' accounts and IPs *in the game* so they effectively lose their accounts, an eye for an eye and all that jazz. And sure, they could just use proxies, but that's fine, their victims could also just create new accounts.
Most people's ISPs give them a dynamic address, and all they have to do is reset their modem or something like that to get a new one. Also, since that same IP address would eventually be allocated to somebody else, you could cause someone else on the same ISP to be mysteriously temporarily banned one day.
Banning by IP address is a ridiculous idea.

Just create a statue dedicated to Portgas, Account Bandit of World 6.
Arksu got one for essentially creating the bot era that was world 4 so I assume you are in the business of rewarding players for poor behaviour anyways.
