Yes I am Aware of the millions of L505 models, but not aware of the fact that a good 90% only run the Intel Integrated graphics HD chipset and yes i did update the driver. I so happen to own the L505 with the intel integrated HD chipset, seeings how the video and graphics card is not a swappable part, but built into the mother board. Borka, i respect the hell out of you for trying to help me out, many thanks, but I also did setup the run.bat also but left the ./res and pause off since the install instructions for enders did not include that.
good you know your Tosh and it's cappabilities - (those Intel graphics can give you the creeps sometimes and some Notebook manufacturers seem to deliver cropped drivers which miss the OGL parts - you can always check with Intel ones - sometimes they fit for Notebook http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support?iid=hdr+support -> Automatically find drivers > - if you haven't already)
i just copy and paste the run.bat part from Ender download default run.bat here and change the java path and put in the pause argument (that's where the -r ./res comes from)
You probably have tried with java.exe instead of javaw.exe already (including pause in run.bat - did it change anything or did you get error messages?
Another try would be checking the AV / FW / Router settings - Ports used are TCP 1871 and UDP 1870 - you also might try different settings in Java Control Panel Network settings (i.e. Proxy / Direct)

in OP are urls - then you'll grab the right bit version and also the update (which you'll have to unpack into Ender folder - it's still 06.04.12 which is the official latest) - or you'll compile it yourself from sources
