You need Hearth Magic and to have discovered a dream to make a new hearthfireSockoTheHamster wrote:How do we make a new hearth fire? All the guides online say go into "Adventure" and then click "Hearth Fire". I don't have that option, I can just make a normal Fire. I'm really far away from my spawn and made my first house.
How do I create a hearth fire here?

Re: Grand List of Simple Questions
Can anyone confirm if the crafting stations (tub, loom, etc.) quality is being taken into consideration for crafted recipes (gauze, glue, etc.) and for processes like drying, tanning, boiling morels?
I've been trying to hit quality numbers with legacy or modified legacy formulas and to little success.
Also does anyone know what quality (avg or otherwise) do I need for equipment bonus multipliers?
Back in the day 23 was x1.5 and 40 x2 but I want to be sure before spending resources and missing it.

It was mentioned in one of the patch notes that drying items were now being figured into the quality. I don't believe it would be racks, but herb tables if it follows legacy patterns.impendio wrote:Can anyone confirm if the crafting stations (tub, loom, etc.) quality is being taken into consideration for crafted recipes (gauze, glue, etc.) and for processes like drying

1. What unlocks linen cloth? I've harvested plant fiber from hemp, and I have learned basic mechanics and stole a loom from an abandoned camp. Don't tell me I need to get fiber from flax only? 40+ WWW's and no flax
2. Do I need an anvil to make a mining pick?

1. You know Sewing? I haven't gotten to Basic Mechanics yet (should have tomorrow), but Cloth Making was needed previously. I haven't seen that skill, so taking a stab at Sewing.

Possibly. May also be a bug/oversight in development.Kuriak wrote: At this point I'm real worried that it needs flax...
There are cloths made from hemp IRL, but they are rough.

Anyone know if the gauze turns into bloody rags by itself once the wound is healed? I thought I recalled taking one off manually earlier once its wound was completely gone, because it hadn't turned on its own.
If not, I'm looking at a problem. How am I supposed to know which wound is being healed, and whether or not any given wound is done? The number ticks down as it heals, so it's quite difficult to keep track of.
