One thing I know, loftar, is that you can expect a huge drop of Japanese and Korean player numbers in this game by this ¦]

Looks like i get to spend the first couple of hours of playtime in world 8 (or w/e) walking to my friends :P

I think it's a good idea to remove the hearth secret. I walked to people I knew in Salem already and it actually took pretty long but it's just a one-time investment after all. My only regret would be that I miss out on some of that sweet makeshift camp feeling that I got in Salem in the first days due to arriving late to the party in the new Haven. Really looked like a shabby trapper encampment with lots of promise from the unexplored surrounding lands.
But anyway, I don't think it will stop people who love the game from playing with their friends. Some grave alt problems would be patched up in return. On the other hand I don't believe that it will make people from an area bond together so much more. That would require a stronger incentive.

Also great idea with the road teleportation. I wonder how this will work out.

THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE ME TALK TO
THE PEOPLE I WILL ONE DAY KILL.

yes Nao - it's better to kill first, then ask at forum who it was and then have a laugh together ;)

=< All it takes is one word and your sword
becomes a world heavier.

Also @Jorbtar.

Does this mean we will be getting the whole
"Marching" system you had once thought up?

I kind of like the idea of a "single-player MMO" but once a map is made, it'll just be an inconvenience.

Maybe if the environment is harsh enough, traversing great distances will be rough enough for one to have to develop one's character a lot before venturing out into the world.

I would like to see snowy mountains, and weather/seasons to that extent.

Hannibal's army crossing the alps comes to mind when I think of traversing harsh terrain.

Definitely an incentive to develop your character to be able to traverse a great snow capped mountain and reach a lush valley beyond it.

I like the idea of seasons but also have to stay warm during winter and staying cool during summer for the extra survival element just like don't starve where u cant stay to long out in the cold or u will freeze to death or get sick :)
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.

Haha yeah, I was thinking of the Carson Pass as I wrote that, the Hannibal thing definitely makes more sense in this context.
