Mine seems to work. Do you have the QWERTY bar active? If you do, it will interrupt any hotkeys that use QWERTYUIOP. You will have to manually disable this if you haven't, since it comes turned on in a fresh client.

Oh, you're right. I'm an idiot. I'm not sure what I thought "Note that the qwerty bar will disable the hotkeys found in the same keys on the keyboard." meant if not that

I changed it as white didn't go to well with the new login image, its trivial info anyhow. I could change it to a different color that more fits the image. Most likely will change the background from different updates so will probably be different next time.
Sadly the info on the barrels are all server related. There isn't any direct and easy way to make timers either cause objects change ID so you couldn't automate any form of timers either. But that's a good suggestion, I totally forgot to include the mini numen window, will include that.
