The #1 Terrible Sandbox Mmos/Games List

Hrm, so I'm curious if Glitch counts as a sandbox mmo? It's F2P and browser based, plays a lot like Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing in mmo format. There's death but it's frivolous and not damaging in the slightest. You otherwise have control over creating new regions, buying and designing homes with furniture you built and designed, populating the world with trees, animals, etc.. of your choosing. It's definitely not a competitive MMO though and once an area has been established, besides killing the natural resources in that area off or replacing them with other things, you cannot mold it in any new way, which is why I'm unsure if it qualifies as a sandbox.

I don't know if it has already been said but Dawntide is dead in the water atm they have had their funding pulled and all development has stopped its a shame I never played the beta.

I gotta say Dwarf Fortress is one of the best games I've ever played. It's not an mmo but it's sandbox.

In what other game can:
1. your characters get massacred by goblin armies, leaving the survivors to go insane and kill each other off?
2. you capture a dragon in a wooden cage?
3. you have an official who's job is to smash in the heads of heinous criminals with a large hammer?
4. angry deities afflict blasphemers with diseases of Vampirism and Werebeast-itis?
