You might or might not be aware of this, but if we're talking about doing "good" things, I figure this should get a mention:

There are several organizations that take donations of old computers and refurbish them. They then provide the systems to schools or ship them to oranizations in developing countries that can put them to use.

I have been playing this game since early 2010 in W3 and I have been playing on and off since.
