why are ppl trying to say archers are op all of a sudden just because we dont fuck up our own horses when we shoot?
I dont think anyone is disagreeing that the one shot needs to go
arrows typically dont 1 shot if you actually have armor and constitution, if you are trying to argue that newbies shouldnt be so easy to kill then that is a wider topic than just archery, swords 1 shot people too you know

Lets say if the guy has it active, he would only receive a fraction of the damage , if he forgets to put it on or the defensive manuver gets shot down by multiple arrows then it is his fault and he gets to taste the 100% damage. This would fuck up many people's 5 card decks too.
nice idea, but i feel like if it was just one skill it would be easily spammable and the archer would die horribly, thus another stale meta of pure ua/mc characters.

How about 2 manuevers required?

For example:

Arrows have two combat damage types that must be blocked. (Two new damage types)

As Above
blocks arrows fired in an arc
So Below
blocks arrows fired in a straight line

A combination of have both up negates the arrows damage immensely and allows the ua/mc to "charge" the archer and get in his face/inflict damage.

I feel like one maneuver only would be too easy.

it was a mistype guy, relax and sit down. I have an archer that's double the stats of your posted dead toon. And two melee alts stronger then you as well. I'm just responding quickly and used "mm" to reference the archer. No need to nitpick

Something to change that to make ir more like Mortal Combat and less like Benny Hill as-is now...
The thing is that its not 1 hit 1 kill, have you ever seen any pvp? Please man, stop fucking talking shit about stuff you have no idea about.. The only move that could one-shot someone is cleave, and he would be without ANY defences and it has cooldown 80. If you have no defence and enemy uses sting/chop it will take like 1/3 maybe some more of your health. And if you stack defences up it will do nothing or just some armor damage.

There was a topic already about archer 1shotting about a month ago, the update brought it up again. People in last world could 1shot decent statted and highly geared characters that even had high constitution for that time which was retarded, since they could make up to 900 damage per shot. It is not only about newbies, the damage needs to be scaled with the armour more accurately, which is way off right now.

There could be some "debuffs" while the maneuver is active, not saying that this idea is good, but just for a example. Just for debuff example, while it is active, you cannot run on 3rd speed this would give the archer or archer's friends a advantage over the guy who has the ability active and would require a real tactical play in combat since the loss of speed is a HUGE disadvantage in combat instead of just mindlessly spamming the heck out of the maneuver... You can play around alot with this idea.

nice idea +1

would require the archer to kite back as well as the melee kiting forward in bursts of maneuvers up attempting to close the gap.

I like the idea as well. Gives the Archer a fair amount of time to Reposition etc. Most of you people tho should make some archers and actually try to pvp and not just argue because of Videos or gifs you have Seen. Its not like playing an Archer = faceroll 360 mlg noscope everybody.

Ozzy walked in a straight line towards the aiming archer in that gif, he had tree's right by him to utilize los, that gif is only proof of his stupidity.
