It's worth mentioning, if a village idol was used. This probably predated the Tartarus raid. So, I don't think who ever did this can really use that as justification.

Like someone else said in here, I have never trusted the new visitor debuff thing and have never left my gates open and would never leave them open, however it is still a sad state of affairs when those that do apply a game mechanic then get screwed over by it!

If this is another bug abuse issue then really Overtyped should have his char reinstated and his gates unlocked, imo, though I know devs are reluctant to do that kind of thing it does make a difference when players are now paying customers.

The decision yesterday I thought was fair all things considered, I was a bit unsure about the punishment, again I would have rectified the damage to the victims seeing as the fault would obviously lie with me being the developer - in that scenario ofc - and if I felt punishment was due, removed the chars of the abusers. However, I do believe the case against Hogwarts was too muddled to outright call it bug abuse, as I said in that thread.

Anyway, I hope how it was done gets revealed and hope things get resolved satisfactorily.

I agree with this. I think the whole Tartarus situation was too foggy to do anything more severe.

Not sure what the above comments about vclaim is but, from the picture the vclaim goes over one of the palisade gates, couldn't someone just walk in the pali gate and they will not have visitor debuff because they are on their own vclaim then just bash the picket fence, then rebuild with new keys? they could then enter the pali?

I totally agree with that, atleast his char should be revived as a part of punishment to the abusers, nullifying their result.

Rules are the same for all of us, is he special at any point? Other people has died to abusers and has lost all and their chars hasnt been restored. That would be another big mistake
and the worst show of arbitrarity and bad praxis.

Lol, report bug, then abuse it utill it fixed, this is how it works since haven exists.
My vault was once destroyed by a chair bug and none did nothing. Move on, create new char or wait for new world. Devs are not helpfull admins here, they are mad gods. And that is what i like in haven.

That happened long time ago. If I'm right since world 6 or so they sayd they wouldnt do it again and since then there hasnt been more resurections.
I'll be glad if they, at this point, decide to change their mind. But as I've sayd this would be completely arbitrary and a grudge for past victims.

Maybe I am missing something. My understanding was personal claim only trumps vclaim if older and it forbids the placement of village authority objects even with crime skills. Toss in the three day wait for claims to be active it was meant as a way to stop claim abuse and blocking. So please explain how the vclaim being extended creates a security flaw? I'm not understanding. Even if it was extended over the pclaim owner is not a village member so village rights do not exist.
