Or, perhaps more aptly, read the entire thread. (In the event the early part has been outdated).
A mod should probably update the OP with what loftar just mentioned.
Now that I've got some sweet fishing bait (or can get some anyway; damn all those intestines strewn about the ground to rot) I need to find some better spots...

I've got some intestines but I can't find the fishing lure... Or do you mean I can bait the hook with them directly?

Re: Microupdate: LP for leather and silk, removed branch q loss
I haven't tried it, but I believe it works the same as an earthworm or a leech - you use the bait instead of the lure. I believe the advantage/disadvantage here is that you can use intestines to catch higher quality fish, but have to carry as many intestines as you want fish and manage the bait.
(I confess I don't know much about fishing so I could be wrong here).

Historically bow strings were frequently made from animal byproducts such as sinew, intestine, or hair. Plant fibres such as linen or hemp were also common and usually had a superior ratio of strength to mass. When treated with beeswax they are very resistant to moisture.NaoWhut wrote:Hooray!! i knew you'd give all

The Romans used horse hair, sinew, hemp and gut to fabricate their catapulta skeins
I can only think you decided to require silk for Ranger's Bow just to make it hard to make.

But it's so artificial!
(well, in fact the steel too
).
But could we have normal bow using intestines?
