I think a few guys with bows could take out some unsuspecting criminal, he wouldn't be moving cause he'd be destroying the ram. Ambushing him with swords and such works just as well

Considering the best ranger's bow could do 950 maybe if lucky (q100 ranger's bow, q150 bone arrows)

With that said they'd need to dump a bunch of perception to keep that up, go through the deflect of the and then keep going to break the armor, that'd take a long time.

Ranger bow hits thru armor, and im doing almost 950 damage with my ranger bow now, and its not that high off a ql compared to the rest of things in this game.

It would also be worthwhile to note that the people who killed said Croatians (hey maybe Tacheron will actually post) were not the same people who killed me over some trash from a decrepit log cabin, considering the fact that they had enough strength to break palisades by hand in minutes, a feat that couldn't be accomplished by RG's Chataeu (The russians who took it on themselves to take my scents and kill me from wherever the hell that little area I took the silk filaments from).

Hey, just noted this post and decided to pitch in with some info. It was me and my gf that got killed by 2 dudes which came down the river. I wasn't on at the time, my gf was. She said they started to break our palisade by hand, she tried talking to make them stop, then to repair the palisade, when she was one shot killed. Then she came on with my char to try to salvage the stuff off her corpse (some very nice merchant rings, merchant robes, as well as the keys that were on her because of an unlucky coincidence - she needed them to take an ox out to pull the wagon and didn't alt vault them immediately) and I got killed before the screen even loaded properly (and I had q23 bronze armor on and 100+ AGI). So about 5 mins later, when I was able to get online, I decided to make an alt at my bro's hf which they haven't yet destroyed and lo and behold - they were inside the palisade already. I did security sweeps of the area each day, so I'm sure there were no rams in the area. I took a screenshot with that new alt. There were 2 guys in ranger outfits with ranger bows running around looting the place. I managed to see that they made a banner, which means they made a village idol there.

Anyhow, tbh - I didn't post partly because I was too disheartened by the sheer ease with which they did this, partly because I couldn't tell exactly which SG we were in (meh, noobish of me but I don't really go around that much so I don't need to know ) and partly because I didn't care anymore since we wanted to get a fresh start, which we did and we are enjoying the new place.

When I get back from my vacation, I'll get the screenshot up, I don't have it here on the laptop I'm using. If Dog wants to post the map I gave him of how to get to our place from old Ravenholm, any interested rangers could go and avenge us and keep some decent q goods.

All in all - lesson learned. Use brickwalls, alt vault keys and oh yes - alt vault all your good q seeds (lost all of my q120+ seeds that I worked diligently to get). Oh, and become a mean motherfucker so no one can bother you
