survey land to terraform
use destroy on stump with shovel or axe. shovel is better

How does surveying the land work? Can I select an area bigger than one tile or do I have to start a different survey on every tile I want to make even?
Select the area you want to process (up to 31x31 iirc), set the level you want with the slider, click 'make level'.
The window informs you how much soil will be left over / is needed, setup stockpiles within the area to directly add to (1 soil piles) / remove from (full piles) them.
Beware that it'll pull from stone piles in case it needs to fill in soil - and ore is stone...
Ants wrote:How rare are strawberries? My current quest is to find and eat one, but I'm having a hard time finding any. My perception is high enough, I've found a strawberry before.
Are they actually found in heath biomes like the wiki says? I've walked at least 40 minutes away from my base and still no sign of strawberries in any biome.
I can't find any either. I'm doing the forager credo and it's asking me to pick one. I've found one a few weeks ago, but that was before I needed it for the quest. I tried raising my per*exp higher (which is now 3720; 62*60) and I've spent at least 2-3 hrs a day for at least a week looking on all grass-type terrain, focusing on Cloudrange since that's where I found my first one. Maybe the grasshoppers are eating them?
What's the purpose of wine bottles in hafen? I couldn't find (probably didn't search very-well) much solid information on if you can use wine bottles to store wine or if it can only be stored in a barrel to keep it from turning into vinegar.

Oops. I don't even know why I didn't bother looking on the wiki. I guess since the Winemaking wiki page was outdated till I updated it a bit that all the other pages involved in winemaking were outdated.

I know before the update casting rods let you play the minigame, but since then I'm not certain
For me, the difference in the bait/lure and the chance of success. With a primitive casting rod I have a very small chance, but I see the fish available in this place: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=58455

It all probably needs some better organization... most of the wiki does. The location for how-to instructions vary from skill to skill and such
Just in case you missed it, wine will only turn to vinegar if left in a demijohn, and even stale grapejuice requires a demijohn to turn to vinegar. Barrels and bottles (and anything else you can put win in) are safe to store wine.
