Is it my impression or IRC has been dead for days? I do ask some questions in it now and then but nope.

IRC can be moderated (and I believe #haven is), but it can be almost as bad as the in-game global chat channel when it comes to getting advice. You're better off digging through the forums, wiki, and asking here if you still can't find your answer.
