I don't understand why the stand owner needs theft permission, all these things would be on owners claim anyway, doesn't he automatically have all permissions, I admit, I don't get it ...

Not if he takes the hand and places it in a container he doesn't own.

I feel like I'm being stupid here, lol, everyone else seems to understand it just fine .... but .... the beetroots would be in your own container, they're yours, you're selling them and the taking hand would be in your own container .... what hand would be in a container you didn't own and why?

Do you mean like if it's a village and you are selling someone elses goods for example? You would put the giving hand in a container on another plot?

I assume it means the buyer gets theft rights over the container with the bought goods in it?
Otherwise it'd be fun to just make an alt that wasn't the one selling to begin with and just take your shit back

Right, I didn't think of that being the honest person I am .... ... also with Loftar saying the goods went straight into their inventory, but with bigger trades they would need a container, so ... yeah, that makes sense.

guys, you put both containers onto your own claim, or your friend's claim who has given you theft permission, or on your village, etc. as long as you, the owner of the stand, has theft permission to the container, you can buy/sell out of it.

the customer doesn't need any permissions, only access to the barter stand.

I mean as in I build a stand, then break into someone's claim and put a hand into their containers (which only requires Trespassing for opening the container), and then I go "buy" the stuff in them for branches, thereby taking their stuff without having to leave theft scents.

Therefore, the owner of the stand needs theft permission.

I selected a Honeybun and it only let me choose between Bread and Food. I want Honeybuns, not any bread type.

One thing to note is that, much as in Legacy, the stand can only accept items which have input types set for them (internal mumbo-jumbo, but loosely corresponds to items used in crafting). We are looking to fix this, but the imagined fix is more involved.

Really disappointing. Half the stuff i tried cant be bought. Mainly curios because they are not an ingredient in any crafting and the other stuff being food that cant be specified. https://youtu.be/_O1hM-k3aUY?t=10s

I have a question. If I put my trading chests in the back part of this shop i've made and build a gate on the gateless part and keep the door open - Will the stand be able to retrieve the goods? Or do I have to keep it how it is now.
Also I just crashed upon claiming the stand.

Crash everytime I try and interact with the stand, I haven't claimed the area the shop is in yet is that why?

It seems you don't even need the connected part. The containers just need to be inside the stand's range, even if safely sitting inside your walls.

Right, lol, I think I get it now ... it is 4am here though and I'm tired so I'll worry about it tomorrow ... why you guys can't ever do things simply I'll never understand ....
