I dont think you should judge based on videos/pictures. Especially of unfinished product.

I have to agree with that, that game has made me angry so many times because all the screenshots and videos that I watch are so cool and amazing...
But I've tried to get into it like 3 or 4 times already and can't get past the first 10 hours every time.

It's so clunky and unpolished. It's not bad, it's just so terribly polished and annoying, you have to struggle against the horrible UI and counter-intuitive systems every time you want to do anything more notable than walking straight.

The escape key doesn't even close UI windows and sometimes the screen locks for seemingly no fucking reason

It really is just fighting with the UI in a boring white-washed landscape

The UI is extremely easy and intuitive to me.
You do know that the Q key works to interact with any object you've selected with the crosshairs without having to press Tab, right Joco?

Having dual-states, one where you have free mouse control and the other where the camera is bound to your mouse movement is pretty typical for these types of games.

Maybe I'm just used to it from having done it elsewhere.
As far as the landscapes... being able to run up a mountain and see kilometers in any direction is pretty damn amazing as far as gaming experiences I've had.

Really, though, the gameplay is what I find most compelling about the game. I've done everything from banditry (Yeah I was a bandit in LiF ), to feudal rule, to sieges on both the offense and defense, to fighting in pitched battles. The game does it all well.

Mortal online is dead, Gloria Victis is dead, Xsyon is dead, I want to beleive but am not very optimiste : generic univers, generic mechanismes, bugs.
Thoses games are niches, they have to bring real inovation to survive, Minecraft, Ark, H&H can survive in small serveurs, so I think Conan Exil can get a chance.

Wurm online is still decently alive. There's also wurm unlimited now, which allows you to host your own wurm server.

It's worth pointing out that unlike Wurm, Xsyon, and MO, this game has achieved millions of dollars of funding and has a large team working on it full time.
