Re: World 6
Let's face it, H&H ha been left to rot until the contract with salem is finished as this brings in no revenue.
Either that or they could have just lost all interest in haven, and when developers do that, the game's are left to die out.
In regards to the lag, it might not be exact reason, but considering all the "fix" attempts that have done nothing at all to the lag, has nobody noted how the lag only happened after they upgraded their OS to a newer version of Debian? at least i think it was debian.
Jorb & Loftar, give haven a decent Christmas, downgrade the OS back to when the servers ran fine in w3 and back over, and start a new world.

Rollback the entire codebase to W3 except curios. Keep murder LP, fix the ram repair glitch and remove movement combat.

I've been mentioning that until I was blue in the face. No one likes to listen though.kris_hole wrote: has nobody noted how the lag only happened after they upgraded their OS to a newer version of Debian?
Agree with it all except the movement combat part. Without movement, its just a "I have higher numbers" game.Oddity wrote:Rollback the entire codebase to W3 except curios. Keep murder LP, fix the ram repair glitch and remove movement combat.
Also make auth objects non-solid or where you can't build them too close together

An unstoppable force meets an unmovable object. Yeah. They'll continue work on Haven when they decide to, but much like the Second Coming of Christ, no man knows the day or the hour. No point speculating. Forget the game exists and one day you'll be happily reminded when you run across it again and it's risen from it's zombie-like half sleep.

both wrong - lag was one reason for updating Debiandagrimreefah wrote:I've been mentioning that until I was blue in the face. No one likes to listen though.kris_hole wrote: has nobody noted how the lag only happened after they upgraded their OS to a newer version of Debian?
A wise hint for those thinking the lag is unbearable for them...painhertz wrote:Forget the game exists and one day you'll be happily reminded when you run across it again and it's risen from it's zombie-like half sleep.

Re: World 6
No, Loftar updating Debian happened because the kernel he was using beforehand didn't support the raid setup he was trying to achieve. At least that's what I remember reading from Loftar himself. :pborka wrote:both wrong - lag was one reason for updating Debian.
