Being in a well established organization helps quite a lot as well to boost your strength due to aid given not to mention that simply having the knowledge to help advance quickly is what gives many veterans an advantage. Considering Avu, Klaue, Nao, and Sabinati had died before, particularly in the middle of the current history, they are able to spring back up quickly. I suspect that even when Rage's ancestor was wiped out, he may have the capability to advance quickly to his feet if he still plays.
Reaper, Reaper, that's what people call me! Why?
Cause they all die! When I sing, I end their lives
You act as though payback makes you a noble man
Is that a fact? Well, you're a goddamn Philistine!

Very few (read: None) of the big villages use their time 100% efficiently, therefore if you do, having the bonus of still being attracted to the game, you will pass them.

If people used their time 100% effectively, 16 hours a day, the typical player from th beginning of the world would have well over 200 million LP, yet they don't. Things get boring, it's how games go.

That's not even mentioning FEPs, the average person if they were dedicated to being #1 by a longshot would have over 2,000 in ever important stat and at least 500 in all unimportant ones.

I doubt any village boasts that as their average though.

I started in what, March or so, died (twice, so I didn't keep ANYTHING from my previous ancestor, both times were at 25%, started my 'new' guy in May/June, and since then I've been casual as hell :)

Next world though I plan to be not so casual, I'm purposefuly wasting my time now so that when it comes to next world I don't feel burnt out already, but instead invigorated and ready to play.

I started off playing pretty hardcore, but then realized I'd be better off waiting for next world to do that, having seen what it may entail I'd say that's a good decision :)

Don't get me wrong I loved running the Holy Roman Empire. It just takes a lot out of you to keep people organized and doing somthing productive. Then there are times when even the leaders need to take time to themselves and go jerk around in the woods somewhere doing nothing useful. For the most part though, I am waiting for world 4 so everything seems new and interesting again once it starts up. Besides, somone think it might be funny to send me to Afghanistan to play there for a while, so I am not sure I will be spending so much time with Haven and Hearth in the next few months.

I had my pos computer finally give out on me for good, lost the vent info, and by the time I got a new (ish) computer to replace it had already gone through rage quitting haven and started playing a bunch of crap on the console. Sorry I didn't get in touch with you guys, but the whole situation just pissed me off and I didn't have the vent info written down anywhere so I couldn't get in contact to tell you the deal (never saved the website either, I think I only posted on the forums once). I was browsing after checking the announcements to see if the world was reset and saw this thread and logged in out of curiosity. Had to spawn in the wilderness of course, and unfortunately I was milking cows when I had my crash so I came into the world with nothing but a few buckets of milk :( No sling or anything, though i've still got what I was wearing.

Anyway I think I'm going to play a bit casually, maybe look around and see if I can't find some new weapons and do some occasional wandering until the new world starts. If you guys are still looking for people to start a new city then message me. I'm going to try to play smarter the next time around; not just by not ruining my attributes because of poor understanding of fep :) Gonna try not to get burnt out by doing trees and silk and livestock and everything else the next time around so I don't rage quit when things go wrong. Wasn't really much other way to do it this time being so far behind anyone else in the world, but it should be a lot of fun to see it from the beginning. Until then I guess I roam, and I'll see what I can see. Someone will probably at least get some good points out of killing me :) Really wish I had lost the computer while hunting or practicing with the sword rather than gathering milk.
