Sounds nice. I give my characters Welsh names, but for RP thats as far as I go.

"in character", as if they were in a book.

Which must be interesting seeing as they live in a setting where the terrain is designed using macaroni art and characters become powerful through gluttonous feasting and mechanics like teleportation. How to describe these things in character? Sounds like something out of Erfworld.

A world perfect for RPing.

Edit: ^ Haha, Erfworld was awesome, I was thinking no one here had read it :)

Well we all decided upon names n stuff like that before the world started. This way the village would be extra-cool.

The Frisian players all chose frisian names, the Belgians took germanic/celtic names and the Dutch mostly germanic.

Once again, it's way better then having pl4y4kill41!!11 as your neighbour.

This is one of the things that I like about the memorization system; you give your fellow players names yourself, not the other way around. If anything, I'd like to remove all instances of having their chosen name revealed, including when kinning them. I can see that becoming a problem when using hearth secrets, however.

I usually choose Slavic/Germanic mythological or sci-fi/fantasy names when making characters or naming villages.

For a roleplaying environment to be created, you would need a good amount of people performing such a practice. Still it would bring more dynamic elements to what would be a grindfest. In fact some storyline may end up developing that may run deeper than the politics seen. Again this requires major player intervention or developers giving a hand on that and I doubt the latter will happen.
