jackasses who live near kind hearts village

so i was exploring today and i came across this settlement. as i approached i noticed a dead deer so i decided to skin it and butcher it but before i could even do that i was attacked by this person wearing a ranger hood and merchant robe. i tried to get away but he knocked me unconscious. screenshots follow:



here i am on the ground. he is accusing me of destroying his crops and slaughtering his cows even though when he told me to take him to my claim i noticed the area in question was claimed, which means i couldnt have done it. when he was accusing me he called me chase. i told him my name was melzar but he didnt believe me until one of his friends kinned me and seen that my name was indeed melzar. it wasnt good enough so he told me to take him to my claim.



here he is trying to get me to talk even though i couldnt since i was unconscious. basically he is forcing interrogation on me



here we are as im taking him to my claim. the area just north of us is the place he said i was at but it was claimed, im sorry it wasnt in frame when i took the screenshot but take my word for it (i would go back and take a screenshot of it but they basically told me if i ever went near that area again they would kill me)



here we are at my place. he is starting to doubt that he has the right person so he asks me a few questions about the general area im in.



he goes through all my belongings (he didnt take anything, i checked) and finds no evidence that i was ever near his place to begin with if thats what he was really looking for.



here i am safe within my house, not dead. they threaten me that if i ever go back in that area they will kill me. not even a "i'm sorry i thought you were someone else"! i dont know who these jackasses think they are bullying innocent explorers but if anyone is around the kind hearts village they live in a claim just to the southeast of there. they have milestones connecting themselves to it. i gave them my word that when i post these screenshots on the forum i wouldnt ask anyone to kill them for what they did to me.. but if anyone is in that area and find scents of assault.. i wouldnt care what you did with them..

well nice lovely pictures and all but you left out that you was actually caught using up all the straw out of the sign posts and when you was seen you logged off.Know it was you because you was memorized before you logged off.you left straw hats all over the place there where you was doing so.We have had thief's in the past and the fact that you was caught in the area stealing I would say you are lucky to be alive.It is funny how if it was not you why did you log back in right where you left at????

how could i do all of that when the area was claimed smart guy? find any scents? no? you wont because i have never walked onto a claim or even turned on criminal acts since i started playing.

i dont care i wont be intimidated by them, if they wanted to kill me they could have, if they still want to kill me they can. im not gonna pack up and leave just because some wannabe raiders think they can push around anyone they want and get away with it. in fact, i hope they do get whats coming to them for what they did to me.

They may not have been very friendly, but it doesn't sound like they took anything from you. Nor did they leave summonable scents. Be happy they didn't kill you or rob you blind.

Looking at that screenshot, I would have been pissed off. You really needed a claim, though.

how long ago was that screenshot taken? how do we know it wasnt you who did that and youre just using it to give you a reason to attack anyone who happens to come by your area? it all sounds too coincidental that i would happen to show up and that happen if you ask me.

you already "dealt" with it by attacking me without warning and then forcing me to take you back to my place. yeah you could have killed me and you didnt which i am grateful for but dont be surprised when you see rangers on your doorstep because of all the assault and battery scents you left around your settlement.

Your both in the wrong in my opinion. 1. Anything unclaimed is up for grabs if there is no one there to guard it, no exceptions.
2. Using up that straw was a dick move. sure its unclaimed, but straw is a pain in the ass. just leave each other alone from now on.

tip: if you want to go into the area for screens or something, your best bet is to hide behind stuff.

p.s. I have never ever seen the word "charlatan" used in any book or game or forum before. congrats on the use of a word no one uses. (Im not trying to be a dick about it, sry if it comes out that way.)

youre missing the point. i wasnt the one who did that. i didnt do anything they said i did. i was nowhere near that area when he attacked me all of a sudden. i was in the general area.
