Charter Stones.

Postby Ginnungagap » Mon Jul 05, 2010 6:48 am

Are they a bad thing for a village?

As far as I can tell, there is only one in the entire world, and it leads to a crappy Russian town. (ISENGAURD)

I was thinking about setting one up to draw hearthlings to our village's region, as it is very vacant and secluded.

Oh, they already half way are.

But we do have a tree farm inside the village, so it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

I'm just wondering why no one else has a charter stone, and if I would be making a huge mistake...?

A charterstone would indeed attract more players to your area. If you want that, that's fine, do activate it.
However, if you do some reading up on the forums about the world 2, and the city (and the Ring) of Brodgar in that world,
you might get an idea why most villages rather *not* activate their charterstones.

I can only imagine uber characters using our charter stone to track our village and leveling it.

That's about the only worry I have.

Why don't we re-make that, or something similar? It would be a lot easier on new players since there would be newbies just like them within a close proximity.
