Reimad, you can destroy the thief's dead hearthfire. Then Justas can confirm by trying to summon the thief via right clicking the ground with the scent (since the HF is destroyed). You will know if it is the same one if it says that the perpetrator is dead. If not, then I have given the direction of where Lightsworn is.
