Waste of time in my opinion but it's your time to waste.

And that is why this will fail in my opinion.

I was told such big city like AD impossible to exist with such management system...
I was tols its impossible to build a city with such quantity of bricks in it...
I was told its impossible to get top power in this world if you started 3 month later...
I was told that leader of big force must be top player to keep authority...

You know... I love when somebody says I wrong, it gives great feeling when I show that I was right :)

I'm not saying it's impossible I'm saying it's a waste of time.

As for the people that told you all of the above they are clearly idiots. It's about efficient and inefficient not possible and impossible. I dunno how exactly AD works but as long as the leadership doesn't get burned out on micromanaging large numbers it's doable.
For bricks well if sodom could build it's wall in a week when we just started out with no wine to teleport barely any clay spots known, old hunger values when you'd dig 3 clay and have to eat then I'd say if there is a will there is a way and centralized bricked cities are the most efficient so I don't see why that wouldn't work.
As for power it's just a matter of how much you are willing to grind and play. I was also told in world 2 that I would have no chance to challenge wv yet I did.
As for leadership a leader needs to know how to get people to work and cooperate. A strong char might bring you fear but it's not guaranteed to give you respect and while fear works for enemies it never works for allies.

And again you can do it and some might even use it (I hear potjeh trades in food) but important trades will always be set up by talking and meeting face to face.

Well I have nothing against you opinion... everybody have a right for his own...
If Sodom and Buyan will stop trading by barter with us... and will join market, there will be no other way, so brockers appear, trading stuff by coins, and collecting them, keeping them as money knowing they will gather in 2-3 days enough to buy something really valuable...

I see only trades of top water-soil-clay-wood will go personally. Other stuff just takes time from important players in city for trading. If it will became automated, then it gonna be win to go.

This must have been what you were talking about last night when we traded at Nople, eh?

If you want my two cents I think it's a good idea as Constantinople is pretty open and vulnerable to griefers/thieves. If you can get the major world powers to sign off on this idea (likely) then you might be able to bring about a coin based economy (IMO unlikely). I wish you luck with your endeavor, whatever happens is bound to bring change the hearthlands.

I agree, that a separate trading center for the world powers is a great idea. The coin based trading isn't IMO.

Sounds like a fun project and I wish you good luck! I hope you can get other super powers to join in. If Buyan or Sodom signed on getting more villages to participate will be much easier.

what does everyone have against coins? i'm not entirely convinced that gold and silver are really the best choice for coins, but there are definitely some reasons in favor of them as the de facto standard for coinage...
