If you've got a bunch of metal you're trading then certainly you don't need meat. This game breeds paranoia, especially on territory you do not own. You should know very well that even walking on their property would agitate them, even if they wouldn't kill you over it. Why you would open their chests and take their stuff (or even have invested in the theft skill to begin with) is beyond me.

In this game people can and will find you. It's not likely you'll be killed for simply walking on a claim but it could happen and thus you ought to avoid it. If you go further than that then I don't know what to tell you.

In rl you don't wander into people's houses without getting the occupants' permission and you don't go through their possessions while visiting. If you do it in rl the first response that people will have to finding you there is that you are probably looking for stuff to rip off and very likely that you have violent potential as well. In rl they can call the police and get you charged assuming they don't go red with rage and charge you with baseball bat, which is not too unlikely a response to catching you red handed. In game they can't get you charged; the only penalty available is death.

I'm sorry you weren't able to talk your way out of this one, but it appears you had given them reason to think that you were not honest or reliable. The statue of limitations in H & H is remarkably brief as once the scents decay you get off scot free from any crime. That means that finding a thief in the act tends to require a quick response. I expect your executioner decided that it would be safer for him to kill you on the spot than to track you down if you defaulted on a promise of reparations.

Lol, they tracked me down (obviously took him a few hours) and broke through my palisade without a ram and summon killed me. Not on the spot. Also why does death follow theft was all I was saying, it's a bit weird.

I'll be back once there are wolves. HEHEHHEHEHEHEEHHE. Watch your backs in the next map pooz.

well, since the only possibilty for punishing theft in this game is theft. if there would be a possibility for reducing stats by 50% by theft scent summoning, we would probably have chosen this. but there isn´t.

and if you would have read through the forum, there is a certain pattern: theft - death - whineaments.

so all you sticky fingers out there: read the forum!

You kinda have too. If you don't have vandalism, when someone steals from you there's nothing you can do about it.

i thik i know what your saying.

if you dont have theft or vandalism, if somebody steals from u, you cannot interract with objexts on your enemies turf(cause even though you wanna kill him, you cant do anything or interact with anything on someone else's claimed land?

did i get that right?
